　　报告人简介：Dr. Derek R. Peddle is Director of the Alberta Terrestrial Imaging Centre (ATIC) and Professor at the University of Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada. His remote sensing research involves software development with applications in environmental change. He is a Past-President of the Canadian Remote Sensing Society; Associate Editor - Canadian Journal of Remote Sensing; and was General Conference Chair of the 30th Canadian Symposium on Remote Sensing. He received Ph.D. (Waterloo), M.Sc. (Calgary) and B.Sc.H (Memorial) degrees in Geography/Computer Science, and a NASA Graduate Diploma. He has published over 180 journal / conference papers (6 Best Paper Awards), and received two International Fulbright Awards (Univ. California Santa Barbara / NASA GSFC), CRSS-SCT National Medal for mid-career excellence, Alberta Centennial Medal, and NASA Visiting Scientist Award.
